About
I graduated from college in 2003 and started working in local advertising. The job moved me to southern Virginia about six months before they laid off my entire department. Stuck with a paltry severance and no job prospects, I decided to make a change. Three weeks later, I moved to New York. I lived in a lot of shady places and held a lot of shady jobs while I tried to figure out what I wanted out of life.
I started blogging around the time I got a non-shady job and was becoming somewhat of a respectable citizen. The entries are as disjointed as my life was, but gives a pretty accurate look into what I was going through as I turned my life upside down. Along the way, I met a guy and had a baby. After which, we decided to get the hell out of the New York area.
I’m now a work-at-home mom in Northern Virginia, near my family and where I went to high school. I kept my New York job on a contract basis and fill in my income with freelance writing. You can read me over at AOL’s TV Squad, CliqueClack TV, CliqueClack Food, and Cinemablend. I also make bi-weekly appearances on TV Talk Radio. You can listen to me there every other Wednesday.
