Cooper turned a year old on September 29, so the past month or so has been an interesting time filled with seconds. He made it through the first year, which was filled with all-new experiences: first Thanksgiving! First Christmas! First Random Thursday in July! Now, however, we’re getting to the point where we’re doing things all over again.
On September 3, 2008, our baby looked like this:

Cooper mostly slept through his first Halloween, when he was Winnie the Pooh,

But this year, my little monster was wide awake for everything.

Now that my first year of parenthood is over, I don’t know what to say about it other than, THANK GOD. I already miss my squishy little baby, but I got through a year with a BABY, when I know nothing about them. I didn’t even break him or anything! I honestly don’t know how we made it, but we did, and that’s all that matters. Now onto the second Thanksgiving, the second Christmas, and the rest of our lives (and with any luck at all, potty-training at 14 months [that can totally happen, right?])
