If you’re reading this site, then chances are you already know about my new gig. Just in case you don’t though, I figure it’s worth mentioning. I’ve taken over as the writer/editor of Medium Dreams, a blog for fans of the show, Medium. I’ve really enjoyed the show for a while, and think that the DuBois family is one of the most interesting family dynamics on television.
It’s a lot of work– 2-3 posts a day about a single show, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t worried about always finding enough content. I’ve just finished my first week though, and it’s gone pretty well so far, and the response from readers has been positive. I’ve even been able to find enough stuff to write about, and the show hasn’t even started yet, so that’s a good sign.
I’ve been writing about television for two years now, but this is a very different experience for me. Not only am I the only person writing for the site, but I don’t have an editor. I’m 100% responsible for everything that goes out on the site. Also, instead of getting paid a flat rate per post, my pay is based on traffic, so why don’t you do me a solid and visit? You know, 2 or 300 times a day or so.
